In UK, there is a wide spectrum of ‘mountain bike holidays’ suiting the needs of each and every age group. These holidays help in exploring exceptional cultures and natural environments. South Downs Way

South Downs way is considered to be the most sought after mountain biking holiday in UK. This 4-day trip starts in Winchester. A distance of 100 miles is covered through this journey. It includes the places between Hampshire and East Sussex. South Downs Way is located amidst the warmest and driest parts of UK. Maintenance of a relatively dry and firm surface is ensured. The route followed is that along the old drover’s trails on top of South Downs for finishing the mountain bike holiday at ‘Beachy Head’. Thus, the English Channel gets overlooked.

This tour requires proper biking fitness. Technical expertise is not of much concern. Support vehicle’s back up is provided throughout, which includes collection from the side of Haslemere if the person arrives by train, and back to the starting point or to train station of Eastbourne. Spain

This journey begins in the old Ronda town, covering the splendid views of ‘EI Mecadillo’ gorge. Alcornocales and Grazalema’ National parks are also covered. The intermediate point is ‘Costa de la Luz’. The Tajo Gorge divides Ronda into 2 parts. Grazalema’s limestone crags, Pileta’s cave painting, and cycling trails passing through oak forests of Alcornocales prove to be a blessing. Tarifa located on the southern side of peninsula of Liberia marks the end of cycling holiday.

Accommodation is provided in the form of old Moorish rural homes, village hotels converted to castle walls, grand casonas, beachside thatched restaurant, and riverside castle with the provision of organic kitchen. Turkish bath is also provided with.

Sardina-La Costa Verde

This region is sparsely inhabited. It contains stunning mountains and sandy beaches. Mining villages are covered on the way. The coastlines are very rough. Most of the riders end their journey at beach.

The 1st part of this journey covers the bases of ‘Sulcis Mountains’. They are located in the southern part of island. Here lies the ‘Agriturismo’ farm, which is run by a family. It produces organic vegetables, wine, pasta, and cured meats. The other places covered include ‘Gutturu Pala gorge’, and Mt.Linas’ never ending hill.

Switzerland and France

This journey covers Massif du Jura, which includes lakes, rivers, waterfalls, huge forests, and lots of trails. The starting point is Cheux Neuve. It is a tiny village located in a serene part of rural Franc he-Comte. The biker would get to see the Alps Mountain from here. French-Swiss border gets crossed in the midway of riding. This helps in exploring greater single tracks. Several low-cost carriers have been flying to Geneva these days. Hence, it’s would be a jubilant experience for both-the amateurs as well as the professionals.
